Iran’s Quranic Community Condemns Insults to Holy Prophet (PBUH)
The statement was released on Tuesday during a Quranic program held in Tehran with the participation, in person and online, of prominent Quranic figures from Iran and other Muslim world countries.
It referred to a number of verses from the Holy Quran, including verse 107 of Surah al-Anbiya, “We have not sent you (Prophet Muhammad) except as a mercy to all the worlds,” to underline the sublime status of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Highlighting verse 34 of Surah Saba, “We never sent a warner to a village except that those (who lived) in luxury said: ‘We disbelieve in the Message you have been sent with!’” the statement said the enemies’ attempts to undermine the path of truth and guidance will get nowhere.
It also stressed that such insulting moves by enemies of Islam only signify the divine promises, citing verse 55 of Surah al-Noor, “Allah has promised those of you who believe and do good works that He will indeed make them successors in the land as He made those who were before them successors, and that He will indeed establish their religion for them; that which He has approved for them, and will exchange safety for them after their fear. They worship Me and associate nothing with Me. After that, those who disbelieve are the impious.”
French President Emmanuel Macron’s comments in support of satirical outlets publishing caricatures of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) have drawn widespread condemnation from Muslims across the world.
Also calls are growing around the world for people to boycott French goods in the wake of the anti-Islam moves France’s authorities.
