According to Al-Ain website, the precious Quran copy dating back to the 11th century is estimated to be worth more than half a million Dirhams.
It has been put on show by Austria’s Gratz Publications at a section exhibiting manuscripts and rare historical books.
There are also rare handwritten copies of books and maps about history of astronomy, medicine, mathematics and religious issues in this section of the exhibition, featuring the rich history of Islamic civilization from the 11th to the 19th centuries.
The director of the publication institute said that it has participated in the 30th edition of the exhibition to present the rare manuscripts preserved for years in different parts of the country.
He added that there are only 10 copies of this golden Quran in the world.
The 30th international book fair in Abu Dhabi has been held with the participation of 889 publications and institutes from 46 countries.
