Istiba’ad, Rejection Main Obstacles on Path to Perfection

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A faithful person should not have Istiba’ad about the promises given by the Ahl-ul-Bayt (People of the Household), let alone rejection.

Speaking in a series of sessions on Ashura, Dr Mohsen Esmaeili has elaborated on different aspects of the event of Ashura.

In the seventh session, he referred to doubts that there may be about the promises given to mourners of Imam Hussein’s (AS) martyrdom and said the people of Ma’rifa (knowledge) say that Istiba’ad and rejection are among the biggest obstacles on the path to perfection, hinder one’s growth, and weaken one’s resolve and motivation to act upon what has been promised.
