Group Quran Contest for Students Held in Iraq

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Dar-ol-Quran of Imam Hussein (AS) Holy Shrine organized the 4th edition of a group Quran competition for Iraqi students.

 

According to dar-alquran.org, Sheikh Kheyruddin Ali Alhadi, director of the center, said that the Astan (custodianship) of the holy shrine held the competition in cooperation with Warith-al-Anbiya University of Iraq.

He added that promotion of Quranic skills of the students and development of Quranic activities in universities have been among the positive outcomes of such Quranic events.

The Iraqi students have managed to win top ranks at international Quran competitions, he added.

He noted that the organizers of the contest aim to identify students Quranic talents and help them promote their skills.

Safa Al-Seilawi, head of the Quranic media center of the Dar-ol-Quran, said that the competition was held in three days from August 31 with the participation of girls and boys from 11 universities of Iraq.

The closing ceremony of the Quranic event was held on September 2.
