In a statement released by the monarch’s office, people in Saudi Arabia have been urged to offer Istisqa prayer on Thursday, November 4, RT Arabic reported.

The statement asked everyone to do Istighfar (act of seeking forgiveness from God), help others and do more good acts so that God will bless them and send them what they want (rain).

It called on all of those who can to act upon the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and offer Istisqa prayer with insistence.

Istisqa means prayer for water, namely seeking water (rain) from God during drought and times of low rainfall.
