Addressing a ceremony held on Thursday in Lebanon to mark the Martyr Day, Nasrallah said Hezbollah has selected November 11 as the Martyr Day because it refers to the date of the first martyrdom bombing operation carried out by the martyr Ahmad Kassir against the Israeli occupation forces in 1982.

He described it as the most powerful martyrdom operation in the history of the resistance.

“Our martyrs left wealthy resources and their wills must be enshrined,” he said, according to al-Manar.

“Our Islamic values urge us to glorify the martyrs,” Nasrallah added.

He said this day is to honor all martyrs of the resistance, including Sayed Abbas Mouawi, Raghib Harb, Imad Mughniyeh and others.

He stressed that Hezbollah will rely on the martyrs’ legacy and military power to deter any Israeli aggression on Lebanon
