Cleric Remains Head of Committee for Support of Palestine
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Hassan Akhtari was retained as the president of the Committee for Support of Palestinian People’s Islamic Revolution.
In a decree on Saturday, Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi highlighted Hojat-ol-Islam Akhtari’s experience and reappointed him as the committee’s president.
Raeisi prayed God to help the cleric in his capacity to help the oppressed people of Palestine.
Hojat-ol-Islam Akhtari has been the president of the committee since October 2013.
The committee is affiliated to the office of Iran’s president.
Hojat-ol-Islam Akhtari formerly headed the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
