The guidance committee and the Iqra society said in a statement on Saturday that the contest will be held in a new way this year, Palestine Today reported.
It will start on Sunday, November 7, which is the first day of the lunar Hijri month of Rabi al-Thani.
There will be two sections, with the first featuring Quran memorization, Tajweed and Tafseer (interpretation).
The second section is about memorization of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) Hadiths, according to the statement.
The two sections will be held in different categories for men and women, it went on to say.
The final round of the contest is going to take place in the month of Rabi Al-Awwal of next year (September-October 2022).
Ten men and ten women who win the top titles will receive cash prizes, according to the organizers.
