TEHRAN (IQNA) – According to reports, the Zionist regime is set to hold a joint military drill with Morocco.

Citing security sources, Maan News website said the military exercise has been planned following Benny Gantz's visit to the country.

In his two-day visit to Rabat that started on Tuesday, the Zionist minister of war held a meeting with Moroccan officials and signed two agreements related to defense cooperation and selling Israeli drones and weapons to the African state.

The source claimed that the date of the drill which will be held with the participation of US forces has been set, without providing further details.

He also said initial interactions between Israeli and Moroccan army commanders have been made.

Gantz’s visit was made nearly a year after signing a normalization deal between the regime and four Arab countries, including Morocco. Dubbed Abraham Accords, the deal was brokered by the former US Administration of Donald Trump.

Morocco resumed diplomatic relations with the occupying regime in August following Zionist foreign minister Yair Lapid's visit to the country.

Palestinian people and groups have strongly condemned the normalization of ties between Arab countries and occupiers, describing it as a stab in the back.
