TEHRAN (IQNA) – Leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement Abdul Malik al-Houthi said the Yemeni nation will continue their resistance against the enemies despite the economic difficulties, blockade and war.

He said the country’s people remain steadfast in the face of all difficulties and challenges, including the siege and the Saudi-led aggression.

The enemies of Yemen have been trying to destroy all signs of life and corrupt the youth via aggression, blockade, murder and soft war, he stated.

However, Houthi added, the nation of Yemen sends the message of standing up to the enemies and confronting all difficulties.

The people of Yemen symbolize the principle of compassion, cooperation, piety and solidarity, and represent an impressive example of social cohesion, he went on to say.

Saudi Arabia, backed by the United States and regional allies, launched the war on Yemen in March 2015, with the goal of bringing the government of Yemen’s former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi back to power and crushing the Ansarullah movement.

The war has left hundreds of thousands of Yemenis dead, and displaced millions more. It has also destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and spread famine and infectious diseases there.

Despite heavily-armed Saudi Arabia’s incessant bombardment of the impoverished country, Yemeni armed forces and the Popular Committees have grown steadily in strength against the Saudi-led invaders and left Riyadh and its allies bogged down in the country.
