Prof. Zellentin to Address Int’l Interdisciplinary Quranic Conference in Iran

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The first international conference on interdisciplinary Quranic studies will be held in Iran on March 2-3.

Shahid Beheshti University’s Interdisciplinary Quranic Studies Research Center will organize the event in cooperation with the Culture Ministry’s Quran and Etrat Deputy and a number of other scholarly and academic centers.

One of the speakers planned to address the conference will be Professor Holger M. Zellentin.

He teaches Judaism at the University of Cambridge and his research interests include Talmudic culture and Quranic law.

Professor Zellentin is also the president of the International Qur'anic Studies Association (IQSA).

In his speech at the conference, Professor Zellentin will discuss intertextual links between the sacred texts of Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
