Ali Reza Moaf, the Quran and Etrat Deputy of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, made the remark in a press conference on Tuesday, adding that it shows the Islamic Republic’s efforts to promote and develop the Quranic culture.
He said that after two years of suspension due to the coronavirus, the exhibition will be held in-person again this year.
According to the official, the expo will kick off on Saturday, which is the 14th day of the holy month of Ramadan, and run for two weeks.
The Imam Khomeini Mosalla (prayer hall) in the capital will host the Quranic event, he noted.
It will be open to visitors every day from 5 PM to midnight, Moaf said.
He also said that with the motto of “Quran, Book of Hope and Calm”, the exhibition will be held with 45 sections set up in an area of 40,000 square meters.
The Tehran International Quran Exhibition is annually organized by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in the holy month of Ramadan.
The exhibition is aimed at promoting Quranic concepts and developing Quranic activities.
It showcases the latest Quranic achievements in the country as well as a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Book.
In 2020 the expo was called off and in 2021 it was held virtually due to the coronavirus restrictions in the country.
