Finalists of 8th European Quran Contest Named

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Germany Dar-ol-Quran, affiliated with The Islamic Center of Hamburg, has announced the names of the finalists of the 8th edition of the European Quran Contest.

 

The preliminary stage of the competition was held virtually and wrapped up on April 22.

The final stage is set to be held in person on April 30 at the Islamic Center of Hamburg.

Quran recitation, Tarteel, memorization, Quran interpretation and concepts, Adhan, and Tawasheeh are the categories of the event.

According to the announcement, Seyyed Mahdi Javadi, Mostafa Ahmadian, Ali Bayat, Mojtaba Mahmoud, Ebrahim Sarvari, Jafar Mobasher, Seyyed Ali Shah Mousavi, and Seyyed Milad Razavi have made it to the final of the recitation category of adults.

Muslims from all Islamic schools of thought who reside in European countries could take part in the competition in the two age categories of 16 and younger and above 16.

Every contender could compete in one category of the contest only.

The competition is aimed at promoting the Quranic culture and teachings, identifying and nurturing Quranic talents, and enhancing unity in the Quranic community of Europe.
