Shoaei Wins Rizwan Int’l Quran Contest
TEHRAN (IQNA) – An Iranian qari bagged the top prize in an international Quran competition dubbed Rizwan.
The competition was organized for Quran teachers by the Astan Quds Razavi.
It was aimed at identifying top Quranic talents among Quran teachers, motivating Quran teachers and opening new horizons for Quran activists internationally.
Some 2,500 Quran teachers from 54 countries took part in the contest.
The panel of arbiters was made up of Quran experts from Iraq, Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The panel named Ali Asghar Shoaei from Iran as the top winner of the competition.
Shoaei has previous won the top rank in India’s international Quran competition as well as an international Quran contest annually organized by Al-Kawthar TV in the holy month of Ramadan.
