TEHRAN (IQNA) – The final stage of a local Quran competition for teenagers in Zambia was held on Monday night.

According to the Islamic center of Zambia, the final stage of the Quran memorization competition for individuals under 18 years old was held on Monday night.

The event was staged on the last Quranic circle of the center in the blessed month of Ramadan.

Muslims across the world pay extra attention to the Holy Quran during the month of Ramadan and many try to read the whole book during this month.

A land-locked country in the south of the African continent, Zambia has a population of nearly 18 million. Muslims constitute less than one percent of the population as Christianity is the official religion of the state.
