TEHRAN (IQNA) – According to Egypt’s Awqaf Ministry, mosques and shrines in Egypt can resume activity as of Sunday like in the pre-pandemic years.

A new guideline is set to be announced to all mosques across the country which will return the conditions of sites to normal, Cairo24 reported.

Accordingly, Quranic courses, religious lessons, and visiting the shrines will not be limited to the time of prayers.

Imam Hussein Mosque will also be open to worshippers all day long.

Furthermore, prayer rooms for women will be reopened after two years.

The return to the normal conditions came after Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa offered proposals to the interior ministry of the country as the situation over the COVID-19 pandemic has improved in Egypt.
