100 Quranic Circles Planned during Hajj

TEHRAN (IQNA) – One hundred Quranic circles are to be organized for Hajj pilgrims, the General Presidency of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque said.

According to elaosboa.com website, the circles include Quran recitation and teaching by Saudi Quran experts.

They are part of the programs and activities planned for pilgrims during the Hajj season.

The programs are held at the Grand Mosque in Mecca and Prophet’s Mosque in Medina.

The general presidency said there will be other programs for the pilgrims as well, including answering the pilgrims’ questions and enquiries 24-7.

There are 40 guides at the Grand Mosque helping the pilgrims in performing the rituals, including the Tawaf (circumambulation).

Some one million pilgrims from different countries will perform the Hajj this year, with Indonesia having the largest number of pilgrims.

The Southeast Asian country has sent more than 100,000 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.

In 2019, the last year before the coronavirus pandemic struck, some 2.6 million people performed the Hajj.
