TEHRAN (IQNA) – In a ceremony on Friday, hundreds of Iranian Hajj pilgrims expressed their support for the Palestinian nation while urging for unity in Islamic Ummah.

Hajj Pilgrims Condemn Israeli Normalization, Back Palestinian Cause

The politico-religious ritual of disavowal of disbelievers (bar’aat min-al-mushrikeen), which is rooted in Quranic verses, was held at Iran's biggest tent near Mount Arafat.

The ceremony is annually organized by Iran on the 9th day of the lunar Hijri month of Dhul Hajjah.

Pilgrims issued a 5-article resolution at the end of the ceremony.

They highlighted that liberation of the holy Quds is an "irreplaceable cause and priority of the Muslim world."

Backing the resilient Palestinian nation, the statement also went on to condemn any form of normalization with the Zionist enemy.

Furthermore, they warned against the establishment of extremist groups who falsely represent themselves as Muslims and also against the intervention of occupation Muslim states by Arrogant powers. Such interventions aim to eliminate deep cultural and spiritual effects of Islam, added the statement.

They also expressed disgust at the policies of the US and Zionist regime for sowing the seed of discord among Muslims, highlighting that the Muslim Ummah should strive for unity by using the Holy Quran and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Hojat-ol-Islam Abdolfattah Navvab, representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution on Hajj issues, and Head of Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Seyed Sadeq Hosseini were among top Iranian officials attending the event.
