TEHRAN (IQNA) – Kuwaiti officials say a total of 109 people have converted to Islam in the country since the beginning of the current year.

Kuwait’s Society of the Revival of Islamic Heritage

According to Kuwait’s Society of the Revival of Islamic Heritage, the new converts are from different nationalities, Al-Jaridah daily reported.

The 30 men and 79 women embraced Islam thanks to an initiative titled “Teach Islam to Me”, the society said.

The initiative has been launched by the Al-Hidaya Islamic Center to invite non-Muslims to the religion.

Most of those converting to Islam via this initiative are from India and the Philippines, the Society of the Revival of Islamic Heritage said.

It added that in 2021, 114 men and women had embraced Islam via the Al-Hidaya Islamic Center’s initiative.

Kuwait is a Muslim-majority Arab country in the Persian Gulf region.
