TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 16th edition of the Mashhad International Holy Quran Exhibition will be held at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in the northeastern Iranian city, an official said.

Hamid Samadi, the Quran and Etrat deputy of the Culture and Islamic Guidance Department in Razavi Khorasan Province, told IQNA that the exact date of the exhibition has not been determined yet.

The Bab al-Jawad (AS) entrance will host the expo, which will be held by the Quran and Etrat deputy of the department, he stated.

The international Quranic event is annually organized in the holy month of Ramadan, which is expected to start on March 23 this year.

Samadi said there is also another exhibition slated to be held in Mashhad next month when a large number of pilgrims are expected to visit the holy city during the Nowruz holidays.

He said that titled “On Path of Paradise”, it will be mounted by the Islamic Development Organization in cooperation with other provincial organizations.

The expo will run for 20 days and will include 30 to 50 pavilions showcasing data-x-items and activities related to Quranic issues, the official noted.

Similar Quranic exhibitions are organized during Ramadan in other Iranian cities every year. They include the Tehran International Quran Exhibition, which is aimed at promoting Quranic concepts and developing Quranic activities.

It showcases the latest Quranic achievements in the country as well as a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Book.
