Speaking at a press conference here in Tehran on Monday, Ali Reza Moaf said the exhibition will be held at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall) from April 1-15.
It will be open to visitors everyday from 5 PM to 1 AM, the official stated, noting that 400 programs are planned to be held at the international Quranic event.
Among them is a gathering to honor Quran servants, which will be attended by Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi, he added.
According to Moaf, those serving the Quran in eight specialized fields will be introduced and honored at the gathering.
During a ceremony at the exhibition, the National Center for Translation of Quran will also be inaugurated, he further said.
He also noted that the area devoted to the exhibition has increased from last year’s 50,000 square meters to 75,000 square meters this year.
Referring to the international aspect of the expo, Moaf said 22 countries have voiced readiness to take part in the Quranic event and the Awqaf and culture ministers of 7 countries will also visit the exhibition.
He quoted the Supreme Cultural Revolution Council as saying that the exhibition is the largest Quranic event in Iran and one of the major Quranic events in the Muslim world, hailing the fact that it has reached the 30th edition this year, which shows the efforts of all Iranian administrations to promote the Holy Quran.
“I Read You” is the motto of this year’s exhibition, which highlights the importance of continually reading the Holy Quran.
The Tehran International Quran Exhibition is annually organized by the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in the holy month of Ramadan, with the aim of promoting Quranic concepts and developing Quranic activities.
It showcases the latest Quranic achievements in the country as well as a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Book.
