“With our courageous resistance and our political efforts, we will safeguard our people,” Haniyeh said on Saturday.
“We employ all of the means we have to thwart the enemy plots,” he added.
Hamas launched the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation against Israel on October 7 in response to the Israeli atrocities in occupied territories and its violations of the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
It included missile attacks on occupied cities and ground assaults on settlements near Gaza. That operation plus retaliatory missile strikes by Palestinian resistance groups left hundreds of Israelis dead.
Since then, Hamas and other Palestinian resistance movements have been confronting the Israeli aggression on Gaza, preventing the occupation regime’s forces from advancing in the costal enclave in their ground invasion, which began last Tuesday.
