Int’l Congress on Ayatollah Khamenei’s Quran Interpretation Approach Kicks Off in Mashhad
Organized by Al-Mustafa International University, the two-day scholarly event will discuss Ayatollah Khamenei’s approach to Quran interpretation.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Hojat-ol-Islam Saleh, head of Al-Mustafa International University’s office in Khorasan and head of the congress, noted that more than 2,000 papers from Iranian and foreign scholars and thinkers have been submitted to the event.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he emphasized that the Holy Quran has been revealed for all times.
He said that if contemporary thinkers did not derive pure thoughts from the Quran, they would not be able to respond to the needs of society.
The cleric also referred to a Quran interpretation the Leader has been writing and said Ayatollah Khamenei began writing it in 1964 and so far ten volumes of it have been completed.
He said one of the main features of the Quran exegesis is that it is easy to understand and at the same time deep and scholarly and can benefit all.
Hojat-ol-Islam Saleh noted that the Leader has considered various fields, including social, moral, family, etc in his interpretation.

He went on to say that Ayatollah Khamenei has interpreted the Holy Book based on the Quran by Quran method.
Five expert forums will be organized during the international congress in Mashhad.
Also, a number of scholarly works are planned to be unveiled at the event.
