Ayatollah Khamenei’s Quran Interpretation Offers A Correct Definition of Religion: Scholar

IQNA – A senior Iranian religious scholar hailed a Quran interpretation by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei for offering a correct definition of religion.

Addressing an international congress on Ayatollah Khamenei’s Quranic thoughts on Wednesday, Hojat-ol-Islam Farzaneh added that many Quranic words such as Tawheed, Wilaya, Muqawama, Tawakkul, Jihad, ect, have been well explained in the Quran exegesis.

In his speech, he highlighted interpretational innovations introduced by Ayatollah Khamenei.

He noted that the Leader started writing the interpretation decades ago, when Iran was under the rule of the Pahlavi regime and people faced the regime’s oppression.

Young seminary students would enthusiastically attend the Quran interpretation sessions he held at the time, Hojat-ol-Islam Farzaneh stated.

He also described the Quran interpretation as a mirror in which one can see the conditions of that time’s society.   

The international congress opened in Mashhad, northeast Iran, today to discuss Ayatollah Khamenei’s approach to Quran interpretation.

Five expert forums will be organized during the two-day event.

Also, a number of scholarly works are planned to be unveiled at the congress.
