Iranian Contender Puts Up Perfect Performance at 27th DIHQA

IQNA – Iranian representative Amir Hadi Bayrami’s turn to stand before the panel of judges at the 27th edition of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA) came on Friday.

He was asked to recite from memory Verses 1-19 of Surah Al Imran, 72-75 of Surah Al-Anfal, 1-4 of Surah At-Tawbah, 51-65 of Surah Al-Anbiya, 15-22 of Surah Saba, and 11-19 of Surah Al-Mujadilah.

The Iranian Quran memorizer had a perfect performance, making no mistakes and receiving no hints from members of the panel.

Bayrami, who is visually-impaired, is from the northwestern province of Ardebil.

Born in 2010, he learned the Quran by heart by taking memorization courses of the Meshkat Quranic plan, implemented by the Iranian Academics Quranic Organization.

The final round 27th DIHQA is underway at the headquarters of the Culture and Science Symposium in the Al Mamzar area in Dubai.

It began on Tuesday with the participation of Quran memorizers from 70 countries.

The Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA) is annually organized in the holy month of Ramadan.
