The Arbaeen mourning ceremony, which commemorates the 40th day after Ashura and the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), is expected to take place on August 25 this year, amid rising global temperatures.
Organizers of the campaign plan to produce the ice in western Iranian provinces bordering Iraq and transport it to Iraq using special trailers.
The initiative aims to dispatch 40 trailers, each carrying approximately one ton of ice.
The ice will be used to provide cold drinks to pilgrims and to support air conditioning systems, helping to mitigate the risk of heat strokes during the event.
