The commemoration ceremony for Ismail Haniyeh will be held in the form of a Quranic circle in Tehran on Friday.
The Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall) will host the event after Maghrib (evening) prayers, Mohammad Taqi Mirzajani, deputy head of the Supreme Council of Quran told IQNA.
He noted that Haniyeh was a prominent leader of the resistance axis and a figure who was acquainted with the Quran and a memorizer of the Holy Book.
The Hamas political bureau chief played a major role in promoting the Quranic teachings among Palestinians, a manifestation of which is the striking resistance of the people of the Gaza Strip against the Zionist regime’s months-long barbarity, he stated.
Mirzajani noted that the Friday memorial service will include recitations of the Quran by a number of top Iranian qaris and Quran experts and speeches by a number of resistance front figures.
Haniyeh was assassinated in an attack on his residence in the early hours of July 31, in the Iranian capital Tehran.
