The competition was organized by the Iranian Cultural Center in Indonesia on the occasion of the World Humanitarian Day, according to the public relations office of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization.
It included categories like poster design, cartoons, and short videos.
According to Mohammad Reza Ebarhimi, the Iranian cultural attaché in Indonesia, after the conclusion of the deadline for submissions, the entries were evaluated by the panel of judges over the course of one week.
In collaboration with the cultural representatives of the Islamic Republic in Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia, as well as organizations supporting Palestine and the Free Palestine Network in Indonesia, over 700 works were submitted to the secretariat, of which 300 works were evaluated.
Describing such events as a way to confront the occupation of Palestine, he said that at a time when the suppression of information in international and social media is happening systematically and structurally, the fight to support Palestinian independence must become more creative and expansive.
He also said that 18 works were selected as the top entries and were awarded.
