Freedom of Prisoners A National Celebration, A Symbol of Palestinian Unity: Hamas

IQNA – The head of the Office of Martyrs, Wounded, and Prisoners of the Hamas resistance movement described the release of Palestinian prisoners as a national celebration and a symbol of unity.

Describing the Gaza Strip as the citadel of steadfastness and calling Gaza people’s resolve as unbeatable, he said, “The solidarity of our nation and its resistance is the only path to achieving complete freedom and national dignity.”

He made the remarks in a ceremony held on Sunday morning to welcome some of the released Palestinian prisoners.

The freedom of the captives within the framework of the prisoner exchange agreement represents a historic victory for the will of the Palestinian people and their brave resistance, he stressed.

The Gaza war made it clear that the Palestinian nation has the ability to reclaim its rights from the clutches of the occupiers, no matter how rebellious the enemy may be.

He further emphasized the necessity of rebuilding Gaza in honor of the resilience and great sacrifices of its people.

The Israeli regime released 200 Palestinian abductees, including senior members of Hamas, in exchange for four captives released by the resistance group as part of the Gaza ceasefire deal on Saturday.

Israel launched its genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023 but had to accept a ceasefire agreement earlier this month after failing to reach its goals.
