In a controversial move, US President Donald Trump has proposed that the US will take control of the Gaza Strip after relocating its population to neighbouring Arab countries.

This plan has faced widespread condemnation globally. Trump's proposal has been criticized as an attempt to promote ethnic cleansing and has been rejected by Palestinian leaders and Arab countries alike.

Since October 2023, Gaza has been the site of intense Israeli genocidal war which resulted in significant destruction and loss of life. Despite the ongoing ceasefire, the situation remains fragile, with thousands of Palestinians returning to their homes under challenging conditions.
