Al-Nahrain University in Baghdad Hosts Quranic Program

IQNA – A Quran recitation session was organized at Al-Nahrain University in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad with the participation of Iraqi Quran reciters.

Sayyid Murtada Jamaleddin delivered a speech about divine Sunnahs at a seminar on “Quranic Sunnahs (laws)” held at Al-Nahrain University in Baghdad, Iraq.

 

The Academic Education Center affiliated to the Dar-ol-Quran of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine organized the event.  

It was held in cooperation with the university as part of the program ‘Call of the Quran at University’.

Wassam al-Dalfi, head of Dar-ol-Quran’s media center, said Sayyid Ala al-Mousawi and Ahmed al-Sharikhani from the Astan and a number of qaris from different universities recited verses from the Quran at the program.

It also included a seminar on “Quranic Sunnahs (laws)” in which Sayyid Murtada Jamaleddin delivered a speech about divine.

He discussed divine Sunnahs in the Holy Book and their role in civilization building and in the fall of civilizations, al-Dalfi noted.

The seminar speaker also explained how individuals and communities draw inspiration from divine Sunnahs in their journey towards progress and stability, he said.

Al-Dalfi went on to say that the final part of the seminar included a Q&A session with the attendees, and a Quranic knowledge competition was held in the university courtyard.
