IQNA – The ritual of exiting the state of Ihram following the completion of Umrah is being tested for the first time in the courtyard of the Grand Mosque during this year’s Ramadan.

The initiative is part of a trial operation launched by the General Authority overseeing the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.

It allows pilgrims to conclude their Umrah by performing Halq (shaving the head) or Taqsir (trimming the hair) at five designated stations located near the Marwa area.

To accommodate the high number of pilgrims, mobile units equipped with sterilized tools have been set up.

This measure is part of broader efforts to enhance pilgrimage services and introduce practical solutions aimed at improving the overall experience for worshippers, the Saudi Gazette reported on Sunday.
