Custodian of Hazrat Abbas Shrine Stresses Promoting Ahl-ul-Bayt Teachings

IQNA – The custodian of the holy shrine of Hazrat Abbas (AS) in Karbala, Iraq, stressed the importance of promoting the words and teachings of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).

Ayatollah Reza Ramezani, the secretary general of the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) World Assembly, met with Allameh Sayed Ahmed al-Safi, the custodian of the holy shrine of Hazrat Abbas (AS) in Karbala, Iraq.

 

In a meeting in Karbala with Ayatollah Reza Ramezani, the secretary general of the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) World Assembly, Allameh Sayed Ahmed al-Safi called for the formation of a committee of scholars and experts to work on the project of disseminating the words and statements of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).

He highlighted a Hadith from Imam Reza (AS) who said that “if people knew the value of our words, they would follow us.”

Al-Safi emphasized the importance of institutionalizing the Prophetic traditions and the teachings of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) in society, adding that these traditions should be conveyed and explained to people in a manner that aligns with the cultures of nations around the world.

For his part, Ayatollah Ramezani offered a report on the Assembly’s activities and cultural projects aimed at disseminating the thoughts and teachings of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) in different languages.

He also expressed the Assembly’s readiness to cooperate in covering news about the activities of the Astan (custodianship) of the holy shrine of Hazrat Abbas (AS) via its news agency ABNA.

In other news, Iraqi qari Sayid Layth al-Ubaidi and muezzin Sayid Muhammad Ridha al-Sarraf met with Allameh al-Safi.

During the meeting, the custodian of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine hailed their contributions to Quranic and religious programs during the holy month of Ramadan.

Noting that the city of Karbala has a unique identity in Adhan (the call to prayer) and Quran recitation, he emphasized the importance of preserving the heritage of this city in this regard and urged Quran reciters not to stray from the common patterns of society.
