Quranic Program to Mark Abdul Azim Hassani Demise Anniversary

IQNA – A Quran recitation session is planned to be organized at the holy shrine of Hazrat Abdul Azim Hassani (SA) in Rey, south of Tehran, to mark the revered figure’s demise anniversary.

The mausoleum’s Imam Khomeini (RA) Shabestan (underground space) will host the Quranic event on Thursday evening. 

It will include Quran recitations by two prominent qaris, Mohammad Reza Pourzargari and Vahi Khazaei.

The Mihrab group will also perform Tawasheeh (religious songs) at the program.

A similar program was held at the holy shrine on Sunday during which Hamid Reza Ahmadivafa and Seyed Mehdi Tajzadeh recited verses from the Holy Book.

Abdul Azim Hassani (AS), also known as Shah Abdol Azim, was a fifth generation descendant of Imam Hassan ibn Ali (AS) and a companion of Imam Muhammad Taqi (AS).

His holy shrine in Rey, south of the Iranian capital, is a pilgrimage site that attracts millions of pilgrims from across Iran and other parts of the world every year.
