Ali Reza Bayat will attend a meeting of the parliament’s Cultural Commission to present a report on the measures taken so far and those planned to be adopted for the dispatch of Iranian pilgrims to the annual pilgrimage.

Top Iranian and Saudi Hajj officials signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage back in January.

Last year, more than 85,000 Iranian pilgrims traveled to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj and the number of Iranians expected to attend this year’s pilgrimage is around the same number.

Hajj is a pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca that every able-bodied and financially able Muslim is obliged to undertake at least once during their lifetime.
