“I have done my utmost before the competitions began to succeed in this event,” the memorizer of the entire Quran told IQNA.
“I hope that with the good prayers of the people (for me), I can deliver a strong performance,” she added.
Jordan’s 20th International Quran Competition for Women began on Saturday in the capital, Amman.
There are 45 memorizers from different countries taking part in this edition of the international Quranic event.
It will run until Wednesday, April 23, 2025, and winners will be announced and awarded at the closing ceremony on Thursday, April 24.
On the first day of the competition, seven participants took the stage to answer the judges’ questions.
The order of performances is determined one day in advance, and so far, the time slot for Iran’s representative has not been decided.

Launched in 1993, the Hashemite Quran Competition is one of the longest-running international Quran contests. It features national and international categories for both male and female participants.
Since its inception, approximately 45,000 contestants have taken part in the contest.
The most successful Iranian female participant in the competition’s history was Sama Babaei Roshendal who won the first place in the competition in 2016.
