Sogand Rafi’zadeh took the stage on the third day of the contest to answer the questions of the panel of judges and recite parts of the Quran from memory.
She told IQNA afterwards that she answered the judges’ questions without any hesitation or mistake.
“I am satisfied with my performance and grateful to God that I was able to deliver a good performance in this competition.”
The memorizer of the entire Quran, referring to her flawless performance in Husn Hifz (accurate memorization), said, “With the grace of the Holy Quran and Almighty God, I performed as I intended, and the outcome now lies in God’s hands.”
Rafi’zadeh spoke about her rivals in this contest and said, “So far, representatives from countries such as Egypt, Nigeria, Ghana, Palestine, and Jordan have delivered flawless performances. Alongside them, a few participants completed their performances with minor errors.”
Asked about the judges of the contest, the Iranian memorizer said the judging panel consists of five Quran experts from Jordan and one from Palestine.
Jordan’s 20th International Quran Competition for Women began on Saturday in the capital, Amman.

There are 45 memorizers from different countries taking part in this edition of the international Quranic event.
It will run until Wednesday, April 23, 2025, and winners will be announced and awarded at the closing ceremony on Thursday, April 24.
The closing ceremony of the competition, which was originally scheduled for Thursday, April 24, has been moved to Wednesday, April 23.
