A member of the Noor Quranic Caravan, which was dispatched to Saudi Arabia for the 1445 AH Hajj season, confirmed that the group’s scheduled programs will continue until the end of this week, amid ongoing travel complications due to recent Israeli aggression on Iran.
Seyed Mohammad Hadi Ghasemi, head of the Noor Tawasheeh group accompanying the caravan, told IQNA that the caravan is expected to remain in Saudi Arabia at least through the end of the current week.
“Given the special circumstances and the high number of performances, members of the caravan are still actively engaged in Quranic and cultural activities in Mecca and Medina,” he said.

Travel difficulties have arisen for Iranian pilgrims due to the suspension of domestic and international flights following Israel’s attacks on Iran. As a result, the return of pilgrims—including the Noor Quranic convoy—has been delayed. Efforts are currently underway to facilitate their return via land routes in northern Saudi Arabia, with further transit into Iraq and onward to Iran.
Ghasemi reported that 11 caravan members are currently in Mecca, while 9 are in Medina.
“The number of performances has been remarkably high,” he noted, explaining that on some days, each member participated in up to three individual and group sessions.
“According to preliminary data, the caravan has carried out nearly 1,000 Quranic programs, of which about 400 were conducted by the Noor Tawasheeh group.”
He added that their participation in international forums, joint events with Sunni pilgrims, and Quranic gatherings has drawn significant attention.
“The Noor Quranic Convoy is a powerful means of connecting pilgrims with the Quran. The situation, while challenging, has also created a valuable opportunity for pilgrims to benefit from these spiritual sessions,” Ghasemi said.
