The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in Qatar has launched its annual summer Quranic program, “Al-Mahir bil-Quran,” through the Department of Da’wah and Religious Guidance. The course is drawing participation from various age groups and is being held at two designated centers during the school break.
The initiative is part of a series of seasonal programs intended to promote Quran memorization, revision, and correct recitation, while also offering educational and recreational activities. The course runs from July 13 to August 13, four days a week, between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Sheikh Amr Al-Maliki, who supervises the program at the Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Thani Mosque, said the course includes both a Review Track for those revisiting previously memorized portions and a Memorization and Recitation Track for older students who have already memorized sections of the Quran, according to The Peninsula Qatar.
