IQNA – The Egyptian Dar al-Ifta issued a fatwa, stressing the religious duty towards the Palestinian people, especially the residents of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

The Israeli war on Gaza has displaced hundreds of thousands of Palestinians

The Dar al-Ifta responded to the question, “What is the religious duty towards the Palestinian people, especially the residents of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, given the Israeli war and the deliberate deprivation of food and medicine by the Israeli regime, and given the regime’s insistence on forcibly expelling the people of Gaza from their land?”

It said in the Fatwa that the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, especially the residents of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, in defending their rights and remaining in their land while maintaining stability and patience is a religious duty and a national necessity.

“This is a step in the path of God that brings great and abundant reward.”

The Egyptian Dar al-Ifta stressed that the insistence of the Zionist regime and its planning to forcibly expel the residents of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank and transfer them to another location, whether inside or outside Palestine, is a clear injustice, an undeniable corruption, and a crime against humanity, the perpetrators of which will be severely punished before God and the people.

God Almighty has threatened the perpetrators of this crime with destruction and has promised victory and power to the oppressed, it said.

The religious center explained that the residents of the Gaza Strip in particular, and the Palestinian people in general, must remain in their land and uphold their rights as a religious duty and a national determination, so that the enemy cannot dominate this holy land, bring it under its control and authority, and implement its expansionist plans in it.

Last year, US President Donald Trump called for relocating Palestinians from  Gaza and the occupied West Bank to neighboring Egypt and Jordan, an idea firmly rejected by Palestinian and Arab and Muslim countries.

Meanwhile, the Zionist regime, during a 10-hour meeting of the political-security cabinet that lasted from Thursday evening to Friday morning (August 7 and 8), approved the occupation of Gaza City and the expansion of military operations in the Gaza Strip, which means the forcible removal of Palestinians from Gaza City.

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Fox News before the meeting that his regime seeks to “take full control of all of Gaza.”
