IQNA – For the fifth consecutive year, the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Ali (AS) holy shrine in Najaf, Iraq, is launching a campaign to support underprivileged children.

A meeting was held at the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Ali (AS) holy shrine in Najaf, Iraq, to discuss launching a campaign to support underprivileged children (September 2025)

Titled “Our Father, Ali (AS)”, it is held in the rural and remote areas of the Najaf Province.

The Honorary Servants Section within the Astan’s Service Affairs department held a preliminary meeting this week to initiate this social campaign.

This year, the activities will specifically focus on providing services to the remote areas of the province.

The official in charge of this section, Ahmad Zurakani, said the necessary coordination has been made with the provincial Department of Education to ensure the campaign runs smoothly.

“Official permits for the service teams to operate in schools have been obtained,” he added.

“All required equipment and supplies have been prepared and are ready for distribution among the participating volunteer councils and groups.”

He also said that the campaign is scheduled to begin this weekend. “Activities will be implemented within a specific timeframe so that students in the targeted areas can benefit from its services.”
