Candlelight Ritual Held at Qom Shrine on Hazrat Masoumeh Demise Anniversary
It was organized in the Imam Reza (AS) courtyard of the mausoleum with the presence of servants of the country’s holy shrines as well as a large number of pilgrims.
This ceremony, which is considered one of the oldest and most important rituals in mourning the demise of the “Lady of Dignity”, took on a special and magnificent appearance with the joining of the servants of the Astan Quds Razavi, the holy Jamkaran Mosque, the shrine of Shah Cheragh (AS), and the Imamzadeh of Musa Mubarqa (AS).
Alongside the ranks of servants, a group of prominent figures from the Qom Islamic Seminary and representatives of the houses of the great religious authorities were also present at the event.
It was broadcast live on the Qom Provincial Network and the Quran Network so that ldevotees of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) throughout the country and the Islamic world could join this spiritual ceremony.
Hazrat Fatima Masoumeh (AS) is the daughter of Imam Musa Kadhim (AS) and sister of Imam Reza (AS).
She arrived in the city in the year 816 (AD) on her way to Mashhad but passed away a few days later and was buried in Qom.
