Speaking at a weekly press conference in Tehran on Tuesday, Esmaeil Baghaei, the Foreign Ministry spokesman, referred to the developments in Palestine and Gaza after the ceasefire, and said, “Unfortunately, we are still witnessing the continuation of the crimes of the Zionist regime, and these days we must talk about the continuation of the violation of the ceasefire in Gaza, because numerous cases of this violation are being observed.”
According to the spokesman, “At the regional level, the main issue is still Palestine. If earlier we were talking about the continuation of genocide, today we should be talking about the violation of the ceasefire that was supposed to prevent further killing of Palestinians and pave the way for sending humanitarian aid to Gaza.”
From the very beginning, he said, the Islamic Republic of Iran, while emphasizing the need to stop the genocide in Gaza, has expressed its concern about the violation of the ceasefire.
“In the last one or two weeks, we have witnessed numerous cases of ceasefire violations by the Zionist regime, and this situation makes the responsibility of the countries that guarantee the ceasefire heavier than before. The Zionist regime is the only entity in the international community that has been accused of genocide and the International Court of Justice has issued an indictment. Human rights organizations have also clearly stated that what happened in Gaza is an example of genocide.”

He noted that in Lebanon, too, the Israeli regime continues its hostile actions and obstructs the country’s development process.
Regarding the Tel Aviv regime’s hostile actions against Iran, Baghaei said the Zionist regime has spared no effort to harm the Iranian nation, but it was the Iranian people who, with their steadfastness and intelligent presence, did not allow the goals of the aggressors against the Islamic Republic to be achieved.
