Hamas issued a statement on Thursday, saying the Zionist regime’s delay and failure to adhere to its commitments within the framework of the ceasefire agreement, especially in the field of humanitarian protocol and preventing the entry of basic settlement materials, have intensified with the onset of the cold season, and the cold air mass is damaging worn-out tents and temporary settlement centers, deepening the human suffering of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip every day, Shehab news agency reported.
The statement added that the criminal Israeli regime is fully responsible for the catastrophic conditions that the people of Gaza are facing; conditions that are the result of the regime’s deliberate prevention of the entry of settlement supplies and its attempt to exacerbate the suffering of hundreds of thousands of displaced people on the eve of winter, while the existing tents are unable to withstand the cold and storms.
Hamas called on the mediators and countries that are guarantors of the implementation of the ceasefire agreement to take immediate action to exert direct pressure on the Zionist regime and oblige it to allow the entry of all necessary materials for the settlement of the Palestinian people and to reopen the Rafah crossing in both directions, in accordance with the provisions of the agreement, in order to guarantee the preservation of the human dignity of the victims.
