IQNA – The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) praised Iran’s women for demonstrating an image of Muslim women during the 12-day war imposed by the Israeli regime and the US in June this year.

IRGC Commander Major General Mohammad Pakpour

Major General Mohammad Pakpour issued a message on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Hazrat Zahra (SA) and Women's Day, saying the women of this land, whether as mothers and wives of martyrs and IRGC members, or in the social, cultural and scientific fields, have always shown that their responsibility is not limited to the family, but is also manifested in the great fields of defending the revolution and national honor.

“As the Leader of the Islamic Revolution (Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei) said, ‘Iranian women have been able to maintain their identity and greatness at the height of pressures and threats and be the standard-bearers of Islamic values,’” the IRGC commander stated.

“A clear example of this fact is the presence and role played by women in the 12-day sacred defense against the imposed war of the Zionist regime; where faithful and resilient women, by standing firm, supporting and managing in the family, and explaining the truths of political understanding and action in society, became a great support for the warriors and defenders of the revolution and the Islamic system, and at the height of honor and greatness, presented a brilliant image of Iranian Muslim women to the world.”
