A Leader of Lebanese Islamic Group Kidnapped by Israel
According to Al-Quds Al-Arabi, Zionist military forces infiltrated the city of Habariyeh in the Hasbiya region of southern Lebanon on Monday morning and kidnapped an official of the Lebanese Jamaa Islamiya from his home.
The Jamaa Islamiya or Islamic Group, abbreviated as the acronym JI, is a Sunni political party in Lebanon.
The Zionist military raided the home of Atawi Atawi and took him away.
The Lebanese Islamic Group announced said in a statement that Zionists beat the family of Atawi and took him to an unknown location.
It said Zionist regime is responsible for any harm to this senior figure, adding that the abduction is a continuation of the Israeli regime’s daily aggression against Lebanese sovereignty.
This political organization in Lebanon further raised the question of whether this kidnapping was carried out in response to the Lebanese prime minister’s visit to the south and the Hasbiya region, as well as in response to the people of this region’s commitment to the government.

The Islamic Group also emphasized that this “terrorist act by the Zionist enemy was carried out within the framework of creating fear and threats to the residents of the border areas, with the aim of forcing them to leave their villages and lands.”
The group called on the Lebanese government to take action through international institutions and the countries that guarantee the ceasefire agreement to stop the Zionist regime’s aggression and immediately release the abductee.
