Signs of Closeness of A Great Victory
While this is the most trying part of the path, there are emerging signs pointing to the closeness of a great victory.
The Leader said in August 2023, “We have passed a large part of this road despite the steep path and are close to the summits.”
Talking about getting close to the summits is based on a worldview and a long-term horizon that is on the one hand based on Quranic riles and on the other hand rooted in field realities. Following is an analysis of the Quranic rules, especially the Divine Sunnah of learning in the heart of Ibtila (hardship, trial) mentioned in Verses 140-141 of Surah Al Imran.
In these verses, hardships turn into an active and multi-stage educational process that materializes Divine objectives:
1- The stage of identification and separation: “And Allah know may know those who believe”. The difference between true believers and those claiming to be believers is made clear in seditions and pressures. In the end of times, the severity of seditions increases due to the speed of separation.
2- The stage of creating models and raising flags of guidance: “And (Allah may) take witnesses from among you.” After true believers are known, God chooses witnesses from among them who become the light of the path and activate the society. The flag bearing of these witnesses, like the martyred Imam, in society can show that the previous stage has been completed successfully and the society has gained the capacity to bear the flag.
3- The stage of internal refinement and purification: “And that He may purge those who believe.” After external purging (separation from unbelievers), it is time for believers’ international purification (Greater Jihad). Actually, remaining patient in the face of hardships, deepens one’s faith and purifies his dependence on God. This stage is for making humans who are worthy of ultimate victory.
4- The stage of unbelievers’ gradual decline. “Wa Yamhaq al-Kafirin.” Mahq means gradual decline and annihilation. There is both internal Mahq (weakening of the supporters of falsehood in the country) and external Mahq (collapse of the apparent invincibility of the US-Zionist imperialist system). The Mahq of unbelievers is gradual but certain.

The summit is actually a stage where a society, after passing the above-mentioned long stages, gets close to fertility. In this reading, near the summit is the most tiring part of the path, where both the internal ability seems to be about to finish and the external pressure reaches its maximum amount. But the internal signs (emergence of great witnesses like the martyred Leader) and signs of Mahq in the camp of the enemy (like major defeats in US and Zionist bases) point to the closeness of a great victory.
