Pilgrims Observe Night of Qadr Rituals at Karbala Shrine

IQNA – Pilgrims held Qurans on their heads at the holy shrine of Hazrat Abbas (AS) in Karbala, Iraq, as part of Night of Qadr rituals Tuesday night.

The holy city witnessed the arrival of a huge number of pilgrims who wanted to perform the rituals of the Night of Qadr in the holy mausoleums of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS) on the eve of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (AS).

The 21st day of the holy month of Ramadan marks the anniversary of the first Imam’s (AS) martyrdom.

The pilgrims recited certain supplications, including Joshan Kabir and Ziyarah of Amir al-Muminin (AS) and held Qurans on their heads.

They also performed mourning rituals on the sad occasion.
