Quran Competition Held in Peshawar in Memory of Martyred Leader

IQNA – The fifth edition of a Quran competition annually organized by the Iranian Culture House in Peshawar, Pakistan was held in memory of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution.   

The fifth edition of a Quran competition annually organized by the Iranian Culture House in Peshawar, Pakistan was held in memory of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution.   

 

The contest was held in two age groups of 16 and younger and above 16.

The top three winners in the two age groups were awarded at the end of the competition.

At the closing ceremony, Hossein Chaqomi, head of the Iranian Culture House in Peshawar, highlighted some aspects of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei’s life.  

He noted the martyred Leader’s emphasis on promotion of the Quranic culture and helping the youth get acquainted with the Quran and contemplate its teachings.

Also speaking was Mohammad Hassan Moazzami, the deputy head of the Iranian Consulate in Peshawar, who said Ayatollah Khamenei, through his martyrdom, taught everyone that Islam is not only about slogans but it is a religion of action.
