For example, God says in Verse 7 of Surah Muhammad: “O you who believe! if you help (the cause of) Allah, He will help you and make firm your feet.”
God has asked humans for help while the armies of the heavens and the earth are at His command and He Himself is the Almighty and Wise. “And victory is not except with God, the Mighty, the Wise” (Verse 126 of Surah Al Imran).
God’s asking for help from a limited being like man is to motivate and test him, and if he succeeds in this test, he will receive a reward. For example, regarding the dispatch of troops to the front, the Quran says: “Fight them, Allah will punish them with your hands and degrade them.” (Verse 14 of Surah At-Tawbah)
It means fight the enemy, for Allah is your Helper and He will punish the disbelievers by your hands.
However, when the warriors rushed to the battlefield and witnessed the divine miracle, they gained a higher level of knowledge; therefore, the Quran’s interpretation becomes deeper and says: “It was not you who killed them, but Allah slew them.” (Verse 17 of Surah Anfal)
You did not kill the disbelievers, but it was Allah who managed the affairs of the front and destroyed the disbelievers.
Therefore, at the beginning of the journey, to encourage and set out the Mujahids, God states: Fight, for God will help you. But when they accept God’s call, he makes the reward for this righteous deed the attainment of the Tawhid Afa’li (Monotheism of Action).

Attaining the knowledge of the Monotheism of Action is the highest reward that God Almighty grants to the steadfast warrior. That God is their protector and all-powerful; even the arrow released from the bow is not in the hands of the Mujahids, and it is God Almighty who hits the target with it: “It was not you but God who threw it.” (Verse 17 of Surah Al-Anfal)
